I tried my best to flavor my household in honor of Cinco de Mayo. Along with baking this cake I made tacos. I have new respect for the ladies who go to the trouble of making this cake for their families! It is a rather involved recipe, with a lot of steps to it! It took hours to complete it. This is the first time that I have ever tried to make a Tres Leches Cake. I had never even had the cake before. It tastes exactly as I thought that it would. It is delicious and worth the effort if you like the flavor. I won’t give you the recipe as I used Pioneer Woman, Ree Drummond’s recipe from the Internet.

Even though I sprayed my pan with cooking spray it stuck in the middle! No worries with this one as I poured so much milk over this fork tined cake that it all held together…
Whipped cream frosting tops this (4) different milks cake.
Ta Da! Tres Leches Cake! I can see this being a new tradition for us each Cinco de Mayo. Delicious for sure!
